Saturday, April 26, 2008 Exception† † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † † I know i said i won't be posting , but yesterday was such a special day that i had to post it! This should probably be my last post until the examinations end which is on 9 May. Well , 25/4 was MUMMY's birthday and we went to Terminal 3 to have our dinner celebration.. We walked about and just from one carpark to another was like a 5-10 minutes walk! We walked around and found a restaurant.. Guess what.. SAKAE TEPANYAKI!!!! And so , we went in.. It was pretty good , we ordered beef and seafood set..Along with other dishes..They served some salad which i only ate the crabmeat and seaweed with the coating of the sauce which tasted so good!But i only ate those items and ignored the cabbages lol.. The chef came in and cooked up garlic fried rice then brown rice in green pepper which tasted very good..Then he started cooking dishes.. He cooked chicken thigh or something.. He made it until the skin was crispy! Yum! Then one that i cannot forget.. Goose Liver.. OMFG man.. You must try it.. It was so damn soft and tasty! It fucking melts in your mouth! I apologise for using the word 'fucking' , but it's really good..The chef also cooked bamboo clam which shell looks like a bamboo , and thus the name.. It was pretty good.. He also cooked lobster and the served it at the correct time because lobster is one seafood that is not good if you don't know when to serve it! Overcook it and it becomes soft , Not cooked enough it will also be soft.. When it's just nice , it's crunchy! You can really feel the juice and all coming out.. Look at the knife he uses to cut it and you will be amazed.. I ate the egg roe of the lobster.. Was okay.. Oh ya.. As i was eating the lobster meat , my dad let me have some sakae to go with the lobster.. It tasted great! The sakae tasted sweet and you can feel a cooling sensation at your throat! Oh yes.. Not forgetting.. Interesting way of making chawanmushi.. he poured in the egg which was all made ready and had a onion which had its core taken out , leaving a rim of the skin which reminds me of yang zhong wei's song , yang cong , which i will post later.. The egg tasted different from what we eat at sakae sushi because the taste of the onion went in.. The chef also served turkey meat which tasted very good but i was like bloated after eating 2 bowls of rice?! How can you not be full ... Along with orange juice with nata de coco inside..It ended off with simple dishes such as tow gay, vegetables and mushroom which were simple dishes... When the bill came , it was 160+... 60 came from lobster set which was the most expensive one.. The beef one only costed like 20+ which was considered okay.. Then i didn't realise that behind me were tanks of oysters ... Then this guy was taking out some of them for cooking .. He was wearing a mouth mask or something like that.. Then my dad was making fun of him =.= You know why he wearing mask? Because the oyster spoilt.. Spoilt oysters are smelly lol.. Then we went back home afterwards.. Eating tepanyaki has always been my favourite thing.. I seldom get to eat because the tepanyaki outside such as Tampines mall which i last recalled when i was like 7? The food there weren't good.. So we only go to good ones , which we seldom do..With that , i shall end the post.. But not forgetting the promise i made to you.. I give you...
